Reviews and Testimonials

We had a great experience with Wayne and Mike! They were very thorough, professional, and extremely kind throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer all of my many questions patiently and made sure I understood everything clearly. They also helped connect us with other services we needed and were very helpful with additional questions we had. Wayne and Mike were friendly, respectful, and truly went above and beyond with their customer service. We really appreciate all of their help and would highly recommend them!

Thank you so much for your great communication, speedy response and friendly service. Highly recommend. My furnace stopped on a Sunday evening in the middle of a cold spell. Although no one was able to get out until the next day I was contacted by Macklin to ask about the issue (this was outside of their working hours). Wayne came out as soon as his schedule allowed the next morning and fixed the problem. No other company was able to get to me sooner and some I left messages with never even called back. I will definitely be using Macklin for any future HVAC needs.

Excellent service. First time customer but heard good things from other customers and have seen their work Nice doing business with a family based company rather than a big company with many techs The owner Wayne was knowledgeable and friendly 5 stars!!

Extremely happy with the entire process. Mike sat me down and talked me through the entire process giving options and being very honest about what to expect and what package would suit us best. I was at work and my wife stayed home today for this. She said they were amazing and cleaned everything up. I would give this company ten stars if I could. As a service plumber going to people houses just as they do, it was truly a very smooth and comfortable process for people that aren’t use to this kind of stuff. Thank you very much for going above and beyond for us as well.

Very pleased with Macklin, arrived on time put drop cloths everywhere. Completed total job in about 3 hr. Took all old materials away and cleaned up after themselves. Wouldn't know they were here. New A/C unit very quiet. We would highly recommend Macklin..

Oh my goodness, our house feels amazing after Macklin H&C installed AC! Wayne and Jaden were so kind and professional, and when I went downstairs to clean up after, I found they had already done so (I’m pretty sure they cleaned up after the electrician too). Their pricing was fair, and they are very clear with communication and timing. This is such a small detail, but it showed the care they take in the installation: they didn’t notice my toddler was watching them prep things through the window, and when I walked past I saw Wayne carefully picking up all of the metal clippings he had made in working on something. That means a lot to me because my kiddos go barefoot outdoors!

Macklin Heating and Cooling serviced my mother-in-law's home when her air conditioning went out on a 97-degree day. The representatives were very communicative, super polite, and incredibly efficient. They absolutely saved the day, and we would highly recommend them to anyone in the Swartz Creek area.

Nobody looks forward to a service call on a major appliance. Nevertheless, my recent experience with Macklin was very positive. Prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and solved my issue. Thank You! Comments above regarding a service call are from a year or so ago.... Today I had Macklin replace my failed AC Unit (it was 26 years old). As before, the work was exceptional. Great attention to detail was made, the unit was plumb, level and tidy. No mess was left behind and the unit works great. Always skilled and impeccable work with Macklin. And I just received notice form the manufacturer that the unit was registered with them (by Macklin) and my warranty was now in effect. Now thats customer service!

I had Macklin Heading and cooling out for an estimate to replace an AC system and my experience was excellent. They were helpful friendly and I would definitely recommend this business.

No problems, the technician, Wayne, was prompt, actually looked me in my eye and shook my hand and introduced himself. He explained what he was going to do. He took out my old filter and put in a new one that I already had. He then went out and sprayed a cleaner on the coils and washed it off. When he was done he came in and showed me pictures of my a/c unit with the cleaner sprayed on and after it was rinsed off. I appreciate his workmanship.

This review is a year overdue, but wanted to wait and see? Wayne and his crew installed a home stand-by Generac, a new furnace and upgraded my electrical panel in the fall of 2024. They did a great job and his wife was wonderful in coordinating everything! Wayne just recently did the one year maintenance on my furnace and generator and I will be signing up for the "Comfort Plan" (HVAC yearly maintenance). I have and will continue to highly recommend Wayne, his family and crew!!! Annie in Byron

Macklin Heating & Cooling replaced our A/C unit after system had leaks reflecting manufacturers defects. They completed a difficult install on-time & with minimal disruption to our home by keeping the old system running good for the summer season & replacing the unit in the fall. We highly recommend this company for HVAC.

Wayne came out to look at our air conditioner. It's been making load noises, he checked everything out and told us what he thought was the problem. We appreciate his experience and patience with us as we asked questions. If we decide to have the problem fixed ( alot of money) we will definitely call Wayne again.

Mike and team were excellent. In and out quick, you could tell they knew what they were doing and informed me every step of the way. Very professional & courteous. Highly recommended!

The job was done in good time, and was very professional. I am pleased with the workers and their pleasantness. I can tell a difference already! Just one day after the service.

Wayne checked our furnace and made sure it was safe. He will put a quote together for a new furnace - ours is getting old. He was great to talk to and was very informative. We look forward to working with him.

Wayne was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He checked out the furnace, told us what he thought was causing the problem. He was correct in his diagnosis and the furnace is back to normal. It’s an old furnace and replacement is in the near future, despite that, no high pressure to sell us a new unit. Wayne answered all my questions, would recommend him and Macklin Heating and Cooling to anyone.in need of service or a new appliance.

We had a new furnace installed. Wayne and his crew showed up on time, worked efficiently. They did an excellent job installing the furnace. We highly recommend using them for your home heating and cooling needs.

Starting off with the free estimate. The experience was quick, easy, friendly, and very informative. No pressure to go with them as a company, But very friendly follow ups. When it came to actually scheduling with the company, it was a quick and easy scheduling process. Text/ email / call friendly updates. The employees (Mike & J) that worked on my home were very respectful of me and my family. They were very accommodating to pets being in the home during the work. They make sure they walk you through the project before and after the process. And when it comes to cleaning up, they make sure you’re happy with the work before moving on. I would strongly recommend them to my close family and friends!

Macklin Heating and Cooling is the best! My service call was quick, easy, and friendly. It was a slushy wet day and the first thing they did was put shoe covers on! They are very thorough and excellent with communication. I know I’m in good hands with them.

Wayne was very thorough with the furnace maintenance and advised of a timeline for suggested replacement items with reasonable estimates. It’s great to work with a local business and Wayne was very personable to work with.

This company does a great job and I feel are honest and do their best to get to the root of problem and get your furnace in working order as soon as possible.

Wayne is a great guy! Honest and works hard to figure out the problem. He installed our furnace 9 years ago and we are still going strong! I would recommend Macklin to anyone😁

I cannot thank Wayne and his son for an amazing HVAC replacement experience. Besides the purchase of my new home 3 years ago, this was the biggest financial investment I have every made. I was nervous and Wayne and his team made me feel extremely at ease. Installation was not as long as expected; couteous and careful. Wayne initially took the time to connect with me, help me understand what type of system I have and all of my options. No pressure to purchase and that made me feel all the more at ease. I was able to initially make a deposit and did not have to pay balance until I was 100% satisfied. I 100% recommend Macklin Heating and Cooling to service all of your HVAC needs. Give them a call.

Mike cleaned our HVAC system and was wonderful to work with! He was very nice and informative. They took care to make sure our space stayed clean while they worked, took their time to clean our vents, and didn't leave any messes. Highly recommend.

We thought they did a great job! They were very professional and kind, and explained everything. I would definitely recommend them! I 'd give them a 5 STAR! Stefanie H.

Excellent communication. Thorough. Genuine and caring. Punctual. I love working with them and trust them 1000%. They care about people more than the bottom line and serve sacrificially. Highly recommend to anyone in Genesee County and beyond!

Another red-letter day in The Wurlitzerage! Two mini-split (heating and air conditioning) units were mounted on the newly-constructed interior side wall, and connected to the heat pump, which was set on the recently-poured concrete pad behind the building. I can’t say enough good things about Macklin Heating and Cooling!! Not only did they show up precisely on time after unparalleled advance communication, the did a superb installation job, AND sent me a treat shortly after completing their work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I cannot stress enough how wonderful Mike and Gracin from Macklin were. They were prompt, exceptionally thorough, courteous, and informative. This is no fly-by-night company. I felt the quoted price was more than fair for my 2300 sq foot home. I highly recommend this company!

Wayne and the team were amazing. A quick, honest quote (without pressure or overselling), reasonable timeframe from quote to installation, and a best value price. Add in the unconditional 2 year warranty with the 10 year unit warranty, it can’t be beat. While on the job they were respectful for my home, efficient, and clean. Highly recommended.

From start to finish this company (and all who work here) are professional, extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. It’s rare to get one on one with a knowledgeable expert who explains everything to you in detail and answers questions without making you feel pressured or rushed. This company is a family-owned business and they definitely make you feel like part of their family. Prices for a new air conditioning unit for our home were very reasonable and I dare anyone to try and beat their warranties! Thanks to Mike and Wayne and everyone at Macklin for getting us up and running with a brand new Bryant unit. Top quality all around!

Great company! From the quote through installation, everyone very responsive and knowledgeable Had a 45 yr old AC system that needed full replacement. Price was right, they did everything they promised when they promised. It was a particularly difficult installation (previous system was installed after house was built before we owned) and getting all the old junk out of the attic, and new stuff up there was a chore. Installers kept at it till late in the day to get it done. Very happy, highly recommend their work

We’ve been customers for years and wouldn’t change for the world! We love how Wayne sets such a great example for his boys! Family and Faith are so important to them!!!!

Completely satisfied! Wayne and his son installed a new A/C unit on a hot July day. We appreciate the kindness, respect, friendliness and excellent workmanship they provide. Would recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC service.

after years of "I'll get to it tomorrow" I finally called Macklin to give my generac generator a tune up. Despite threats of rain, Wayne was able to get my generator happy again. Very professional and friendly, I highly recommend Macklin Heating and Cooling for your generac generator needs. Thanks again Wayne.

We recently purchased a house in the area. We gave Macklin a call and they were able to quickly come out and give us a quote. The quote was significantly lower than some of the larger companies we looked into. They were able to come back within a week to clean the vents. We had suspected the vents were gross (house had been used as a rental for 10+ years, furnace had never been serviced, tenants had large dogs). Well when I say they were DISGUSTING… look at the before and after pictures. I’m so glad we’re not breathing that in! It also made our house smell so much better and got rid of the gross musty smell.

Wayne was on time, very professional and friendly. He serviced my furnace and A/C components in a timely manner and left no mess to deal with. The price for service was on point and I will use Macklin Heating and Cooling in the future.

Wayne honest and great to just talk with. Personal touch that is missing in today’s world. I appreciate his honesty and explains the issues . If your going else where your missing out on honesty and quality work. Wayne has taken care of my house and now my rental unit! I would not call anyone else. Update! Of your not using this family owned American business your missing out on quality people and service!

This was my second time working with Macklin Heating and Cooling, and I don't plan to go anywhere else. They were on time, honest, hard working, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Their customer service was polite, and their response was fast. I highly recommend them!

Macklin did some work on my AC unit and the experience was great. They arrived quickly, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it at an affordable cost. Really appreciate the Macklin team!

Furnace and air conditioner replacement from this wonderful family owned business for Bryant. Professional and kind, great communication, attention to detail, timely. We felt very comfortable using Macklin from quote to finish!

Very professional, friendly, prompt communication wise and nice workmanship. Wish more contractors held such high level of standards. I liked the actual owner and who did the bid also did the work on my A/C system with a helper. AA++ COMPANY. UPDATE: A year later they installed my new furnace also. My old one after 29 years went out. Same great service!!!! I'll will only deal with Macklin Heating and Cooling in the future.

Macklin heating and cooling were beyond amazing! They kept in constant contact through the entire process. Even reached out to me after the initial quote to check up on whether I was still interested. This set them apart from other competitors next to their competitive prices. The whole team came out and were all kind and professional at the same time. Very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to other people and family as well.

After troubleshooting myself, I called Macklin Heating and Cooling for additional support. Within an hour I had the owner at my home who walked me through their diagnostic process. Wayne was extremely welcoming, explained everything thoroughly, and walked me through after care steps. Their Comfort Club Membership was a huge positive in addition to their great service. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services!

Everything was exactly as it was explained to me during the purchasing process. I like the idea that the owner of the company was the one I dealt with when purchasing the new furnace and air conditioner.

Wayne and his son came out to service my furnace. They were very friendly, very thorough and I also appreciate There were running early so they gave me a call and came out earlier than my appointment. Very very happy with Macklin.

Wayne and team did a very detailed and professional job installing a mini split unit in our loft! They were a joy to work with and I would recommend their craft and expertise to anyone needing HVAC work in their home

This company was highly recommended by a pastor in my church. I was pleased getting this third estimate, that offered a better name brand, longer warranty with no inferior brand or cut corners that I got with the first two estimates and a good price. The work was done to perfection. I am so glad that I chose Macklin.

Wayne Macklin called to ask if he could come early (an hour early). We discussed a mini split heat pump convincing me not have him modify it. He then serviced the house AC. We will continue to have him maintain our heating and cooling system. Mark and Virginia Martyn.

I have used Macklin for two of my business’s and 2 homes. They are so good at what they do I will not consider using another company. It’s down right on time and they took extra caution to ensure my prized items did not get drywall dust on them.

As soon as they arrived and inspected my A/C unit they knew that the capacitor was bad. After replacing the capacitor my A/C unit started working fine and works perfectly now.

Wayne and his crew recently installed a furnace, A/C, water heater and Generac generator for us and we were thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, promptness, craftsmanship and cleanliness. We would hire Macklin again in a heartbeat. They're just good people!!

Wayne did a great job replacing my hot water tank. Very detailed and excellent work. Got a top notch hot water tank. Very professional and would highly recommend to everyone! Update: 4/22/2024 Wayne has installed a whole house Generac generator. Same as above he and his team did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!!

Our furnace failed in late January and the temp in the house was 58 degrees. I called Macklin that day and they responded immediately. They communicate very well through the whole process, they’re professional, and very friendly. We highly recommend them!

Wayne came out and really did a fantastic job. He was very respectful, timely, and honest. We will be using Macklin again, 100%. He kept going above and beyond to make sure our situation was taken care of.

Fourth we have had them out. Each time someone comes to our house they are professional and get right to work. We have nothing but good things to say about them. We plan to keep using going forward, especially when we update our aged equipment.

I signed myself and my son up for the $199 annual check on AC and Furnace. Wayne came out and did a thorough job on both. He was on time and a very nice guy. I will recommend Macklin Heating and Cooling going forward!

We highly recommend Macklin Heating and Cooling! When our air conditioner went out, we called around and Wayne came out the next day for a quote. He was very personable and made it easy for us to choose his company to install a new A/C and Furnace. They had great financing options and were very helpful in the process. We cannot say enough good things about the experience we had with Wayne and his wife! We are very happy with Macklin Heating and Cooling!

If you're looking for honest, fair, and prompt service...look no further. Wayne was such a huge help in consulting us on what our options were to repair our AC. Very reasonably priced and he even worked with us to come up with a bundle discount on everything we needed. I can't recommend Wayne and his company highly enough

This company is top notch and experienced! They did an amazing job with scheduling as well as being informative about our new unit. Today they came back out to inspect and keep our air conditioner running like new!

They were very professional, showed up on time, very knowledgeable, neat and cleaned up behind themselves. They also explain in-depth the control panel to operate the new furnace. I would recommend Macklin Mechanical to anyone looking for heating and cooling needs

Wayne and his team installed a new AC! Macklin Heating and Cooling was professional in every aspect and highly recommend them! Wish all companies and contractors would operate their business like them!

Prompt, professional, experienced crew. I called when my heat went out, they came the same day to look at the problem. I had heat in a few hours and a more permanent repair was done by the next day. They explained everything along the way and never pressured me to buy things I didn't need (like other places I have dealt with). Very happy with the experience, I will be calling them again, should the need arise.

I have used Machlin heating and cooling in the past when I had issues with my air conditioning they were very responsive, thankfully they were able to get me up and running the same day. Recently my Bryant furnace stop running almost a 30 year old unit. Temps were in the 20’s and I was in need of a new furnace. After going through all my options I decided to get a new furnace and air conditioning unit with Machlin heating and cooling they did a very good job of explaining, very clean, professional and in great detail what they would do, they had multiple options for financing. I highly recommend Machlin heating and cooling for maintenance repair or a new unit.

These are the best people in the world. They just happen to provide service in HVAC. I highly recommend this company not solely on their fantastic work/due diligence. I highly recommend you doing business with them because of the people you will come in contact with. Thank you so much guys. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much.

Wayne was extremely professional and very patient explaining everything to me. He also drained my hot water heater in addition to doing an inspection and servicing my furnace. I highly recommend Macklin Heating And Cooling

Macklin came out and gave us quote for a B vent or a chimney liner system, the latter being a better choice for our home. We called other companies to get quotes as well and Macklin was the most cost effective. Other companies came out, said they'd send us a quote and were never heard from again. Macklin was on time for the service and finished early. Would definitely pick them again

Can't say enough about how knowledgeable and professional Wayne and Macklin Heating and cooling are. We have leaned on them in the past as a remodeling company for professional mechanical needs so who else would we turn to when we needed a new furnace in our personal home. With their great knowledge of how airflow works our house has never felt warmer and comfortable. Would highly recommend them over anyone else if you want someone with the most knowledge and understanding of how heating and cooling systems work or should work..

Had a whole house generator installed by this company. They were timely, professional, and did a great job. I was kept in the loop through the process and they delivered exactly as promised!

Had a slightly out of warranty issue with an AC. coil and they took care of everything. No muss, no fuss. Just explained the situation and BOOM! Done. Great job.

Just bought our home and our furnace stopped producing heat. Thought it was a simple part fix and it turned out we needed a whole new furnace. Wayne came out and did the diagnosis, changed parts, and let us know we ultimately needed to replace it. He was able to install a new furnace 4 days later! Not only does he do great work, he also is a great person and it shows in how he treats his customers. Thank you so much Wayne! I won’t be using anyone else for HVAC work. Highly recommend.

Service and quality was perfect and always on time. If you know Wayne it is like you've known him forever. We would never let anybody touch our air conditioner or furnace but Wayne. Great guy great company.

In these uncertain and hot days my mother now has the comfort of AC and will have heat this coming winter, but more than that she has the peace of mind knowing that her system is a quality system installed by a very prompt and professional company that cares. That's something missing in our world today. Plus she knows if a problem does occur she will have the same friendly and courteous company just a phone call away. Thank You Macklin Heating and Cooling!

Excellent service! Our air conditioner stopped working on a humid summer day. I called Macklin in the afternoon and they were out first thing the next morning to fix everything. Riley was awesome. Gave us tips on how to make our unit last a little longer and also the information we needed if we wanted to replace it. Will be calling Macklin for all our future heating and cooling needs. Thanks again!

They fixed my furnace within two hours of my call, explained everything clearly and were fairly priced. I will use them again if need be and I highly recommend them.

Wayne and Riley exemplify what true professionalism should look like. Honesty and integrity are what I ,as a general contractor, look for and require from the people we hire for our jobsites. They've never let me down!

Macklin Heating was a pleasure to work with. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, honest and very good at the work they performed for us. I will be recommending them to anyone one I know that has heating and cooling issues!

Wayne provided us with a new furnace and for half of what I expected. He had it in and heating our home within 4 hours. The heat even feels warmer then the old furnace ! We found our new go to guy/company!!

I had such a great experience with Macklin! They were patient with me and able to answer all of my questions. They didn’t upsell me on anything I didn’t need like another company. They were very competitive with all the other estimates I got and their quality of work was great. I can’t speak highly enough!

Loved working with Macklin Mechanical! It's awesome being able to support a local business and it's a family business at that. Riley and Wayne tackled putting in an AC unit and brand new furnace. There was no AC in our house prior and they I'm sure faced some challenging obstacles being that our house in on a crawl and its older. They got it done! Definitely recommend them!

I recently had a new AC unit and furnace installed. Macklin was able to quickly fit me into their schedule and get the installation completed. Wayne and his team are very professional and their prices reasonable. I highly recommend Macklin.

We hired Machlin Mechanical to install a heating and cooling system in our new home. We could not be happier with the service and quality we received. The crew was always there when they said they would be and were very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions. We have been in our house for 9 months now and are shocked at how efficient our system runs.

Highly professional family business. In the installation of a central air conditioning unit, I interacted with their office and with the technical crew, all part of the family. I was very impressed when I got a call back after a missed call, and I didn't even leave a message. She just wanted to be sure my questions were answered. The work was done cleanly and thoroughly, and everyone involved was attentive and helpful!

We could not be anymore pleased with our high efficiency furnace and air conditioning unit . We highly recommend this heating and cooling company to anyone who is serious about quality , integrity and fantastic service ! You cannot go wrong with hiring Macklin Mechanical Company !!!! Thank you Wayne and Riley Macklin . Nothing compares to a Father and Son team !!

Amazing customer service. I’ve had a few of their techs out over the years and they are always polite, professional & do a great job. When my furnace went out after “normal” business hours on the coldest night of the winter (sub zero temps!) they had a tech out that same night and got my furnace fixed so my home was warm & toasty! Even the owner has called personally to assure I have received the best service. Highly recommend the Macklin Mechanical team!

Honest, professional, efficient, polite, super knowledgable, punctual, friendly, fair priced, quality equipment, the list goes on and on. These guys were great! They did an amazing job installing our brand new AC unit. Even with a few setbacks they stayed positive and completed the job without issue. I highly recommend them!! I will definitely use them again! Thank you so much!
